2025 Important Season Information

Please find below some important information on changes implemented for the 2025 Winter Competition.

Grading Changes

For the 2025 season, St George District Netball Association has introduced changes to our competition grades. The new grades will be:

  • NetSetGo - Players turning 8yo or younger in 2025. Players turning 9yo in 2025 may also choose to play in the Netsetgo competition.

  • Winter Competition will consist of the following age groups:

    • U10's - players turning 9 or 10 in 2025

    • U12's - players turning 11 or 12 in 2025

    • U14's - players turning 13 or 14 in 2025

    • U17's - players turning 15, 16 or 17 in 2025

    • Seniors - players turning 18 or over in 2025

  • There remains the option for players to elect to 'play up' an age division. Should you wish to do so, please contact us at sufnc@outlook.com NO LATER than Thursday 13th February 2025 should you wish to play up.

Wet Weather Policy

A wet weather policy has also been introduced for the 2025 season. As a result, should a game be abandoned due to adverse weather, a catchup game (being a half game - 2 quarters) will be played the following playing day.

This will mean that on the day of the 'catchup game', there will be 2 half games played. Catch up games will continue to be held throughout the regular season to ensure all scheduled matches are played.

For example: Day 3 games are cancelled due to rain. On Day 4, for the first half of the timeslot teams will play the game missed on Day 3 and in the second half of the timeslot, the scheduled Day 4 game will be played. Both games will be 2 quarters each.

Friendship Requests

As a club, we continue to offer players the ability to submit for consideration a friendship request for team allocation. Below is important information when considering submitting a friendship request:

  • All players 9 years and above must attend grading day UNLESS you have notified the club.

  • Players will have the option to submit 1 friendship request to the club via email sufnc@outlook.com. Friendship requests are NOT guaranteed.

  • A friendship request MUST be received from both players parents/guardians or will be deemed ineligible. Please do not submit multiple friendship requests, as all requests after the first will be disregarded.

  • Cut off for friendship requests is Thursday 13th Feb 2025 @ 5pm

By submitting this request, I understand that:

• St Ursulas Fatima Netball Club may grade my child into a lower division because of this request, as both players will be placed in the team of the lowest graded player in the friendship request.

• St Ursulas Fatima Netball Club may grade my child into a different age group because of this request

• St Ursulas Fatima Netball Club Grading decisions are FINAL

• This request will NOT be accepted if registration is closed

• This request will NOT be accepted unless all players requesting to play together submit requests individually

• This request will NOT be accepted if any players requesting to play together are previous or current development or representative players for St George District Netball Association or any other Netball Association in NSW

• This request will NOT be accepted if any players above are a ‘no-show’ on grading day held in February

• This request is NOT a guarantee that the players will be placed in the same team

• This request may NOT be accepted if players are born in different years, as overall numbers of the club must be taken into account first

Friendship requests should be submitted via email to sufnc@outlook.com
